Taming This Tyke's Voice Since 2007

Jeques’s Art Portfolio (page 4)

The child had a vision he will arrive at this moment. He saw everything before all these happened. The images was clear in his reveries, the picture was complete in his imagination. His mind’s feet had walked this path, his mind’s senses had lived this moment.

The Beginning: (L) “Dreams Alight #1” 30×30, (R) “Coquet” 20×20, oil on canvas, by Jeques B. Jamora, 2009

I grew up to be the man in the child’s vision. Standing still, I look back following the tracks of the child who told me many stories we weaved together:

The child dreamt.

I live.

I used to think I was chasing my dreams, I now understand I did not. Like  the damselflies that alight on my palm as a kid, dreams, too, alight when I learned to open myself and keep my heart still.

Your artwork is lovely. I haven’t viewed it all yet and shall return on another day to do so. I love the way that (so far) it moves from early childhood through the years and takes a theme with it. It’s quite inspiring. Thank you.
    🙂
