Arriving To A Dream
I was 18 years old when I coined myself a french nickname: JEQUES. I was given a birth name JESUS by my father because he had an agreement with God that if he will have a boy for his youngest CHILD, he will name him Jesus. I am the greatest disappointment of my father, I grew up to be not the Jesus he wanted me to be: expelled in my first year from the seminary when I was 13. It was a long soul-search after that trying to define who I am.
At 18, I know who I am and I know how people should call me. I am Jeques, the name I chose for myself. It proves my early fascination for french and dream to one day see the place which I did when I celebrated my 40th birthday. I am being true to myself. I know my father wherever he is now would look down to approve of the life I chose for myself. I am not after all a disappointment.
I wish you well.
