You're right, Marvin.

First love may not necessarily be forever, but I realized now it serves as catalyst to the love that we're meant to find in this lifetime - first love opens that door in our heart, may leave it broken but just the same, the heart has been opened to welcome love that would bring back the broken pieces as whole again.

This piece is connected to my prose-poem: /behind the glass window.

I'm glad to hear from you, thanks for all your wonderful comments.

I wish you well.

jeques, the sonnet is very good. a seed of hope that is growing as we try to accept things as they were. looking on the bright side of things, we can allow things to have their natural course.

first love would always be remembered. it is the first time that will keep lingering on even after you had many relationships thereafter. but love has its way to help us learn about who we are and how we can give out of our big hearts.
